Safeguarding & Complaints Policy for Parents

1. Commitment to Safeguarding

The safety and wellbeing of every child in my care is my highest priority.
I follow the principles set out in Working Together to Safeguard Children (2023) and Keeping Children Safe in Out-of-School Settings Guidance (gov.uk) to create a safe, respectful, and responsive environment.

2. Raising a Safeguarding Concern

If you have any concern that a child is at risk of harm, abuse, neglect, or unsafe practice:

2. If You Are Not Satisfied or Cannot Reach the Provider

Contact your Local Authority Children’s Social Care (MASH/Front Door):

 3. Confidentiality

      • All concerns will be handled sensitively and in line with data protection requirements.
      • You do not need proof—any reasonable concern will be taken seriously.

    3. Making a Complaint (Service or Conduct)

    If you wish to raise a complaint about the club’s service, practice, or behaviour:

    1. Informal Resolution

        • Speak directly to the Provider as soon as possible (in person, phone, or email).
        • I aim to respond within 5 working days.

    2. Formal Complaint

      If the issue is not resolved, submit a written complaint to:

          • A written letter addressed to Beth Neale via the Brook Field Primary School, Tregoze Primary School or Oliver Tomkins Primary School office

      A written acknowledgement will be sent within 5 working days and a full response provided within 15 working days.

      3. Escalation

      If you remain dissatisfied, you can contact:

      4. Record Keeping

      All concerns and complaints will be:

      • Logged with date, details, and outcome.
      • Retained securely for at least three years in accordance with GDPR.

      5. Policy Review

      This policy is reviewed annually or sooner if legislation or guidance changes.
